Yes, We've finished the consonants, except for the review. I will post this lesson plan all at once on the blog, soon enough. And so now the vowels...
"The Unknown Land," was actually Ariston's last story for letter 'U'.. a special one I included because I realized the Unknown terrain and power of these vowel lessons we are creating and the respective emotions that we are exploring..
The first two stories were "The biggest house in the world," a story about 'acceptance,' the primary emotion of the root chakra and story I made up improv about the monkey trap parable, a lesson to illustrate the pitfalls of 'rigidity,' the shadow emotion of our root chakra. We had research these ourselves and create these lessons as we go coordinating stories with the emotions as they are connected ...
Phonically 'U' or uh resonates with the root chakra, low c, and the color red.. planet saturn - this is our first vowel.. we are beginning from the lower and working upwards. We're also connecting these visually, depicted as the chakra's and a rainbow as well as the musical notes...
Associative learning is insprational and it matters not if our associations are perfectly correct or conflictual. Our job is to create associations, point at things and inspire... I am enjoying this... Ariston tends towards perfectionism and the monkey trap parable was a fantastic lesson in learning the importance of letting go. (look it up and you'll know what I mean)..
Love always,
Jim
